NRCHA’s National Webinar on HIV and Aging with Keynote Speaker Harold Phillips

Last year, the National Resource Center for HIV & Aging (NRCHA) presented its first national webinar to mark National HIV/AIDS & Aging Awareness Day.

Given its success—over 2,000 registered to hear from speakers such as keynote Dr. Anthony Fauci—we are excited to announce we will be hosting our second national webinar on Sept. 14 from 12–3:30 p.m. EDT.

The keynote speaker will be Harold Phillips, the newly appointed Director of the US Office of National AIDS Policy (in this past, this position was referred to as “the AIDS Czar”).

This year the webinar is entitled “Shape the Future of the HIV Epidemic: Listen to the Needs & Challenges of Older Adults” and will focus on how the needs of older adults living with HIV will shape the USA epidemic. Today, older adults with HIV comprise over 50-60% of the total USA HIV population. As we enter the 40th year of this epidemic their voices need to be heard. Speakers from the community including long-term survivors, clinicians, program directors, and researchers will provide a portrait of the older adult living with HIV.
