Work directly with GMHC clients
Buddy
Buddies help registered clients with HIV/AIDS to cope with living
with the disease. Buddies provide in-home emotional and practical
support to registered clients of GMHC, helping with errands, household
chores, information gathering and referrals to GMHC and other services.
Each Buddy also becomes a member of a team, receiving ongoing supervision
and training by staff and team leaders. Some buddies work only by
phone, providing emotional support through regular telephone contact.
Although we need buddies in all boroughs, our greatest need are
in Brooklyn and the Bronx. Spanish as a second language, a plus.

soups, salads, desserts and a choice of entrees daily for GMHC clients.
