| How to Register to Become a
New GMHC Client
GMHC offers services for men and women regardless of their HIV status.
Some of these services are designed
specifically for HIV-positive men and women and require that you
participate in a registration process. During the registration process
we will ask you questions and listen to your concerns. At the end
of this process we will make recommendations about the services
we think you will find useful and we will help you connect to these
services.
HIV-positive clients are required to present appropriate medical documentation, such as:
- An M11Q form
- A letter from a doctor with medical license number
- Current blood work results with ordering physician name
- Letter confirming results on HIV test from a testing site or medical provider
Staying negative can be a challenge for many individuals. HIV-negative
clients will be referred to appropriate services within the agency to enhance
HIV prevention skills and increase healthy decision making and risk reduction.
