The Meals, Nutrition Education and Wellness Services program provides
a safety net for impoverished clients at high risk of losing essential services
and resources by providing hot, delicious meals in a cheerful, congregate
setting. More than 96,000 meals were served last year. We also provide
individualized nutrition counseling,
nutrition groups, workshops, classes in cooking, therapeutic art, exercise programs,
and complementary therapies. For more information, call 212.367.1420. |
Meals
If you want to enroll in the 12th floor Meals Program, you can
receive a hot nutritious meal in a setting that permits healthy
socialization and fosters exchange of helpful information. Lunches
are served Mondays through Thursdays and dinner is served on Fridays.
Special meals are served on holidays. Through its tabling program,
you will also have access to information from other GMHC programs
and outside agencies, such as the Bailey House Conflict and Mediation
Center. You may access the Meals Program by requesting it when you
go through The Michael Palm Center for
AIDS Care and Support and then by attending one of our two
monthly orientations.
