Our Ethics
IGMH believes that the following ethical precepts are important prerequisites for the creation and implementation of effective HIV prevention interventions:
- The imperative of reducing HIV infection rates should not impinge on personal freedoms;
- All people with HIV deserve the same level of support, health care, and political rights as
anyone else;
- All people, HIV + or -, are entitled to a fulfilling and satisfying sex life; and
- Barring harm to others, all people, HIV + and -, have the right to be self-determining.
