The Geffen Center offers easily
accessible counseling, testing and other services related to
sexual health. Most of our services are available to the general
public; people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations and
racial identities seek our services. |

Testing Center
Effective immediately, The David Geffen Center will no longer offer HIV and STI testing on Saturdays, except when specified in the list below. If you would like to receive HIV and STD testing services, please review the links below for a testing site in your area. If you need additional information on testing sites, you can call The GMHC Hotline at (800) 243-7692 Monday – Friday. To schedule an appointment for testing, please call the center at (212) 367-1100. Our new hours of operation are as follows:
Mondays – Walk-Ins, 9:30 am 8pm (we see the first client at 10:30 am and the last client at 7 pm)
Tuesdays – Appointments Only, 12pm 8p (we see the first client at 12:30 pm and the last client at 7 pm)
Wednesdays – Walk-Ins, 12 pm 8 pm (we see the first client at 12:30 pm and the last client at 7 pm)
Thursdays - Appointments Only, 12 pm 8 pm (we see the first client at 12:30 pm and the last client at 7 pm)
Fridays – Walk-Ins 12pm 8 pm (we see the first client at 12:30 pm and the last client at 7 pm)
We will be open on the following Saturdays ONLY from 10am 6 pm (we see the first client at 10:30 and the last client at 5pm)

Treatment Education and Adherence

- Individual counseling by appointment and on a drop-in basis.
- The Stick With It program can help you stick to a
medication schedule that works.
- The Treatment Education Library has great resources about sexual
health, including HIV, and computers with Internet access to
help clients get the latest information.

Prevention Case Management Services
Behaviors can be hard to change without good support especially
around substance use and sexual risk. Prevention Case Management
offers harm reduction counseling services for HIV-positive men
and men who are HIV-negative and at high risk for HIV. PCM is designed
to help people look at their behaviors and work towards identifying
reasonable goals through individual, peer and group counseling.
